Has anyone done the NMS Qs yet? I just did 200Q straight but I felt that the questions were very strange. Some had like one case and had maybe 4-5 questions about that one case. Other questions were very random 1 line questions which were more like matching than vingettes. Anyone have any imput on the NMS Qs?

NMS is a good review to test your understanding, but they do not reflect the current format of the test.

I agree with the above comment.
The questions are not reflective of the USMLE format.
And i personally found them much harder than the Kaplan QBank questions, and the actual USMLE questions.
I did find them useful in training me to focus on the question at hand, and not to be discouraged by prior questions,

I feel the same way. Thanks for the replys guys. The questions are very strange. very picky, very obscure, and I hate the tiny format and having to scroll down to see all the answers choices. But I'll do them anyways...just for completion.

are these NMS questions the one from the NMS review book for step 1?
or are these from a different set of questions?

There is an NMS review book by Lazo which is filled with about 850Q
It also comes with a CD. I think the CD has the exact same questions that is in the book only its in cpu format. What I have is some pirated version that was floating around on a CD at my school. I assume what I have is the same as the CD that comes with book. I looked at the book the other day at borders and the questions on the CD that I have looked the same as the ones in written text in the book. I'm not sure how good these questions are because the last 50 in every test are matching. Matching? wtf...how many actual usmle questions are going to be matching?
