Hi Samuel, Kudos to you for starting your engine again for the battle ahead. You have gotten over the hardest part of getting to the finish line! Wise friends who are now in their residency have given me good advice for passing this exam - Don't spread yourself out too thin, stick to a few good books and master them. You have Kaplan lecture notes - is this the same as the textbook that you described? If so, read them over and over until you get the concepts down cold. Do all the questions in Qbook and go over the wrong answers until you know it well. Remember that Kaplan questions are usually pickier and more detail oriented than the real exam - however, this is good preparation for the USMLE. You never know what these people will ask. The key to winning this game is to be prepared mentally, intellectually, and spiritually. Do not let fear of the exam control you - this was my mistake in the past and it was something that I had to conquer this January. What I would recommend from my experience, those of my friends who passed the USMLE, as well as my own mother who is an IMG now a practicing physician in the USA: 1. Kaplan lecture notes 2. Kaplan Q book 3. Kaplan Q bank 4. NBME parts 1 and 2 - take these about 1 month and 2 weeks prior to the real thing 5. Goljan lectures and notes - he has Integrated Pathology notes as well as a practice exam with answers 6. God - I'm not kidding Other resources that are great for integrating subjects together: 1. Step Up by Samir Meta 2. NMS questions - if you need more questions I'm not familiar with the blackwell's series so I cannot comment on them. The key is to know how to integrate stuff together - know how pathology, physiology, and pharmacology fit together. These 3 are key. It is not enough to just know some of each subject separately. The key is integration, mechanisms as Goljan said. Listen to his lectures whenever you get the chance, I didn't know how much of a difference it would have on my thinking process until I started seeing my scores go up. Lastly, but not least - Believe in yourself. Above all this stuff - Believe in God. I seriously think this changed my perspective this time around. Love, Pinkangel
