Hi img2, I'm also staudying IM now, finished pulmo and cardio, starting nephro from next week. I'm using CMDT (2003 ed) for IM(waiting for kaplan also.) and seems very good. I think it should be enough for you as well, because when you read CMDT you don't have to look up in other books for more info, everything is in there. Blueprint for IM is useless for me (but for gyn, peds is good). Hope it helps.

thanks but isn't CMDT too long a book for step2? I meanit will take a good toll of the time that one allots to prep for step2(& in that case,3-4 months prep may not be enuf,no?)

Sure it's too much, but what i'm doing is to read each topiconce, mark basic staff, and then read only them and it is easy to remember as well. It works for me at least. I've finish first reading of pulmo and cardio in two weeks and did some questions as well between them. i'm thinking to do only IM from CMDT nothing else. Mostly, the huge reading is infections there, which you can read shortly in other sources.
