Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I am a US IMG and I took my step 2 on august 14(balckout day). Although, I still don't know what has happened to my exam since then, I'd like to share my experience with you guys here. I thought that step 2 was alot tougher than step 1 (my score was 91/224). I almost ran out of time on my first block but then picked up the pace afterwards. I managed to finish the rest of the blocks 2-4 minutes ahead of time except block 8 at which time the blackout occurred. I studied kaplan notes and the qbook but I thought that the actual exam had a different style. It was not as obvious as the qbook. All the questions on my exam fit on one page. I never had to scroll down. Actually the short questions were more challenging than the lentghy ones. From what I remember I had blocks that were really hard and I had blocks that were fairly easy. I don't really know what to make of it, I still don't know the outcome but NBME has told me that they will notify me as soon as they get my exam from thier system.
