In splenectomy the patient easily get streptococcus pneumonia 1. And which other bacteria ? 2. Mechanism ?

1 is right 2, I don't know if there is relation between opsonization & encapsulated agents Spleen is the main producer of IgG2, which is a main factor relates encapsulated agents There is a q of DR singh about Defeciency of subclass IgG2

In WAS there is recurrent infections caused by encapsulated organisms. which Ab is affected in WAS? a)IgM b)IgG2. Read this carefully.
