I guess you should try for the scramble. You already have your token. It can't hurt to send in your documents. Just remember, they won't keep them until next year.

thank u so much for the response... i will go for it now ...also can u please tell me which fields should i try ...and is it possible to reapply or transfer next year in internal medicine ...if i am not able to get into internal medicine this year thanx a lot again

you should try IM and maybe FP..and you can always transfer or change specialty after one year. The important thing is to just get in a residency program.

Also consider trying applying to programs that do not participate in match. One such program I know is Internal Medicine at St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark, NJ. Jersey City Medical Center has a pediatric residency that is not participating in match either. Lastly, and I don't know for sure, but St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson, NJ, may not participate in match for internal medicine. Contact these programs and find out, as you may find a spot at these places without having to worry about scramble and all that.

thanx a lot for replying ... what about cs ??? ii took it in january ...and u know how thhe results are getting delayed ...i took it im late january :?
