During the early stages of the inflammatory response, histamine-induced increased vascular permeability is most likely to occur in which of the following? A Arteries B. Precapillary arterioles C. Capillaries D. Postcapillary venules E. Veins

Please explain My own idea is from capillary permeability, because in inflammation, there is increase capillary permeability by many inflammatory agents including Histamine I don't know if there is an increase pemeability in other sections with great frequency or not

hey phuluong, in early stages of inflammation histamine determines endothelial cells of postcapillary venules to contract, and this widens the gaps between these cells and increases the permeability. hope this helps

yeah exactly....most of the trasnsfer of inflammatory cells occurs in the postcapillay venules....

D It produce contraction of endothelial cell in postcapillary venules. Histamine is a vasoactive amine coming from mast cells and also basophils, they are located in tissue and also around blood vessels. Mast cel and basophil realese histamine when they are stimulated by C3a and C5a. Endothelial cells have histamine receptors in the pstcapillary venules and when attached to this receptors contraction of this cells occur and increase permeability for these gaps.

is it B?i think it is B as the histamine acts on the endothelial cells making them more permeable.
