I heard that this is the last year for prematches. Good Bye prematches for good. Congratulations to those who prematched.

there was talk last year that programs that offerred prematches would not be allowed to participate in the match. That obviously didn't happen for this year, but if it happens for next year, several programs probably won't offer prematches anymore. But if they choose not to go through the match, they can still offer prematches. BBB would be the one to ask.

It's still not set in stone - some program directors want to keep some prematch spots. More should be known after the match.
