Dear, every one
I am IMG from Thailand. I and my girl friend were passed USMLE step 1/2CK. I got 99/99. My girl friend got 95/98. We are preparing for Step 2CS, but I am not sure about couple matching. I plan to match in IM , my girl friend in PM&R. I have some questions to ask you all..
- Is IMG have chance to get match in couple matching ?
- Is it harder or easier to get match in couple matching? in my case?

Sawatdee krap. Couples matching even for US grads is tough. It just makes things more difficult. IMGs rarely do it, assuming the risk of not matching at all is greater than the risks of not matching in the same city. Both of your scores are excellent and niether of you are applying to very competitive fields, so it might be ok. But I honestly don't know any IMGs who do it. I would advise you to focus on cities where there are many possible programs to chose from, NYC, Chicago, etc. Are you getting govt scholarships? Most Thais I know who do residency here are sponsored by their schools or the government, and often they have their positions arranged outside of the match through connections of their professors. That might be your best bet to see if you can't get a position arranged without having to go through the match. Best of luck!

Sawasdee krub , Thank you for your help. I don't get scholarship from Thailand gov. :cry: I try to go to study in USA by myself .....
