Hi Everybody,

I am new here. I would be appreciate it if someone could give me an answer of my question. When I check with usmle.org, I found that the test contents for step 2 inlude everything. But, when I tried to find the books for step 2 on the net, there are only those 5 big subjects (internal medicine, ob/gyn, etc). What about the other subjects, such as dermatology, E.N.T. , etc ? Where can I find the USMLE books specific for those subjects? I am an old graduate from foreign medical school (15 years ago). I really need to know about this. Thank you in advance for your response.

Hi Lee,
I graduated 7 years ago, and I just passed the Step 2. I used Crush Step 2 by Adam Brochert. It covers all the subjects, is short and clear. I had studied some subjects entirely from it. i hope this will be useful.
Good luck

Hi, i am an old graduate also(5 years ago). I am preparing to take step 2 in december. I am using CDT, FIRST AID FOR STEP 2,CRUSH THE BOARD,USMLE STEP 2 SEKRETS IS VERY GOOD. If you use CDT you dont have to buy BLUEPRINTS IN MEDICINE, for pediatric and gynecology BLUEPRINTS is enough.and you have to do a lot of test as well.

Do the questions in the tutorial count towards the score or can you skip the tutorial?

Hi,
You can skip the tutorial but you don't have more time to do the exam. It is added to the break.

usually they print 5 book in mean subjects : intrnal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obgin, psychiatry. such things like dermatoly otolaringology and so on is covered in internal medicine like separate chaptures? you don't need specific book because they ask just 5-10 most common problems like psoriasis or glaucoma. neurology also in internal but you can find separate books too.
If you want to know what books differetn people use for the exam
just put www.ebay.com and than put in search: usmle - and you'll see everithing you can imagine also low your expensis for the books
good luck
