Thanks ssrpk. My thoughts exactly, not to have a defeatists attitude, all too glad that its not a low score that I may be stuck with.

nixty,

i used the same source, except i did not finish my anatomy. my score is 71/173, with anatomy is my highest score. i cannot believe it, but it happened already. i felt confident, that i will pass after finish my exam. my exam was easier than kaplan test. and now, i feel scared. do i have to use the same source or i have to change ? i am planning to retake my step 1 on july-september period this year. thank u for any response.

just took my exam last wed, but know im thinking I failed it too. I took the NBME the night before and it was low, I thought though the exam was easier but I could be delusional. Oh well, dont give up hope and keep on trucking.

i heard about nbme from this forum. everybody said it is an excellent parameter before you take the real test. i checked their website this morning, and decide to take it before my next exam. my friend advice don't take usmle, until you get around 550 score in nbme. maybe i will keep studying my kaplan, goljan and first aid, and evaluate my self with nbme. for manolok, don't give up, you don't know the result yet. i wish you good luck.

What is the NBME?

1) I agree I did not revise my readings as many times as I should have. 2) Also I managed half of q bank's questions. I should have done more.
3) I did not take the simulated exam. Instead I opted to use the time to review material that needed to be reviewed.
4) Perhaps I should do all of the above in the next round?

dear nixty,

check nbme.org, they charge 45$ per exam, and they will show it your result exactly the same like usmle report score. i tried their sample test this morning, it look similar with usmle. also don't feel bad about your result. i feel depressed too for several days, i thought i was well prepared. luckily, i have famliy who support me. they encourage me to take my exam again. so i will change my method of study, i will do more practice for question. i hope it will working this time, wish you luck.
