I was wondering if someone here could answer some of my questions. Is having lot of research experience good when applying to a residency? This includes having papers published in the field. Moreover, being an MD-PhD (MD from a foreign country but PhD from an American university), with several papers published in good journals...will that help me enter into a good residency program (where research is important)? Thanks in advance.

Could you please explain how you managed to publish in a lot of journals. I did research for a hospital for about 4 months and got nothing published. Thanks.

Basically you need a good tutor for that.Someone who is recognized and has lot of experience. You should only stick to him and do what he does.or discover something extremely interesting and new. Good luck.
