Does anyone know if the Dean Letter is the MUST for applying? I am IMG and I graduated quite a long time ago, and my med school will not issue me this letter. Anybody knows what should I do? Will the extra LOR substitute the Dean Letter?

I BELIEVE YOU NEED TO INFORM ECFMG THAT YOUR SCHOOL WILL NOT PROVIDE DEAN'S LETTER, AND ECFMG WILL PROVIDE A SUBSTITUTE LETTER..

Just dont bother , Get a recommendation letter from the Principal of your medical college and that will do.
I have done exactly that and have no problems what so ever..

What do you mean recomendation letter from principal? The principal has changed since i graduated, and he doesn't know me at all, how can he issue any recomendation letter... I am not in my country right now, and I can't go there before I need to apply, so I can't really deal with it personally, and by mail it sounds... well very doubtful... Still, thatnk you for advice..
