some one mentioned in This forum before tha an IMG could practice as a Physician assistant, but it was to dificult to find a Doctor who would let you work under their licence because of the risk. I work as a Medical assistant and I mentioned this to my medical director and she got interested, so I am trying to find out info. about this. any one, help.

I dont think IMG/FMG can work as PA. PA's have their own requirements. You need to go to PA approved programs for 4 yrs and then take PA related exam. You can confirm it by google search.

thank you san jose. Alina, the difference is that a PA is a health provider: makes diagnosis and gives treatments under supervision of a MD. MA just follows orders from Nurses, MDs and PA.
