A 27 years old man came to your office and asked for referral to a plastic surgeon as he needs a corrective surgery on his face. He is also avoiding people and can’t go to work. He did not give you history of any other disease but told you that he feels very low at times. No history of any medication. On examination he look anxious his pulse 76 blood pressure was 110/70 R/R 14/min. His chest was clear. No other physical abnormality.
What is your diagnosis?
1. Cleft lip
2. Delusional disorder
3. Major Depression
4. Body Dismorphic Disorder
5. Factitious Disorder
6. Phobic Disorder

My answer matches all of your's.

But for the sake of argument why can't it be Cleft lip....is it because the question step said all systems normal on PE?But ofcourse question can't give away answer.....so why not cleft lip??

answer is 4, why not clef lip?.....ok, because it is not mention nor describe in the statement.....always look for proofs before answer, if there is not any suspicious word about cleft lip, don´t think about this diagnosis....don´t loose time.....keep in touch :lol: :P grin
