A 65-year-old cirrhotic male with a history of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection presents to clinic. What is the recommended screening strategy for assessing this patient for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)?

A. ultrasound every six months
B. alpha-feto protein (AFP) every six months
C. ultrasound and alpha-feto protein (AFP) every three months
D. ultrasound and alpha-fetp protein (AFP) every six months.
E. No screening is recommended

This patient requires a ultrasound and alpha fetal protein every 6 months.

Actually once you diagnoized of liver cancer and waiting for transplant, you are required to have CT scan of he liver once a month.

Surveillance every six month is reasonaable because the patient is high risk and we do that clically
