Dilatation and curettage.
It's scraping off of the endometrium, usually:
1. In a recently pregnant woman to remove residual tissue in the uterus (an evacuation D&C)
2. Part of the inx in a woman with heavy or irregular menses, or who has vaginal bleeding after the menopause (a gynaecological D&C)
