When Is the last date we can ask for a pre-match. Program ABC sends me an hinted message for a pre-match. While I am waiting for a response on program xyz. Program xyz will responde by "mid-next week". But, looking at the match dates, Jan 31 seem to be the date that programs must submit the quotas and withdrawl. Your advice please is needed fast...thank you....

don't accept prematch at abc. wait for xyz. if not, find out how strong of a candidate you are at both programs and go through the match.

I agree, ask the programs if they take anyone through the match, and then if they would match you. If they don't take whatever you can. You can always trasfer after next year if you really don't like it.
