I am sorry Mm, I am not in a position to talk about that subject. You will have to ask your daughter.

Hello friends ,I have recently joined your wonderful group- Deepak in Hamilton , NEW ZEALAND Ritu, Consider few points here: 1.Patients confidentiality should be respected. 2.Encourage pt to disclose to her mother. 3.confidentiality-AMA ethics- can be broken -if patient minor and at risk of STDs including HIV & parent is required during counselling[-second one is bit trecherous] 4. Maintain confidentiality even if minor in following cases- contracep treatment/substance abuse/pregnancy I am not sure about sexual assault-whether to maintain confidentiality on request of patient ? what do you think? 5.If patient needs abortion confidentiality can be broken-subject to approval of hospital ethical committee. These are favorite question in step 2 as well.
