Hi Everybody I find that question at other forum.... American medical students usually take USMLE in summer (Jun-Aug). I was told I should not take the exam during this period of time. If I do, my score will be compared with these native students' scores. Is that true? Does anyone have idea how the percentile is calculated? thank you. Anybody knew because Iplan to take my exam at June :?: :?: :?:

it doesnt, the mean is calculated from the year before, and actually, acc to kaplan medical advisor, judy schwenker...the results from img exams are not even used in the calculation of the mean...so the timing of the exam should not concern you at all..
