bugs bunny I just failed on step 2, you said you were studying 4-5hours in the beginning and then you managed to get 10-12 hours a day. I miss passing by 1 point. I am really upset. I did well on usmleworld (55-65%) and I also read from kaplan and first aid step2. Is there anything I can do to do better at the next one? I found that I was running out of time. All input is appreciated

first of all lemme thank drshabs, tanseembanu,.lucky n ajy2 well drshabs i think i read infectious diseases n cardiology plus respi n liver from blue prints..its a very good book..i was looking for a website by american paeds. association where they have 10 mcq's with very good explanations..if i find that out again i would post its webaddress here..i think the questions r on peds emergency..but very good ones. for ajy2..well im very sorry that u couldt make it coz of just one point....see i never had confidence after taking exam too...but i would advice u is to study hard..study kap notes line by line first..then refer other books for referance if u want..it used to b hard for me too to put so many hours...n it doest matter how many hours u put wat matters is the output..u can have good output after studying for just 5 -6 hrs too..u know wat i mean..then start doing questions...try to finish atleast Q book..then if u want u can do other sources like UW or kap q bank..i didt do any of them...then i would advice u to take another look at kap notes..n do ccssa for ur assessment..i hope this helps..i know it is easier said than done..the one who goes thru all tht knows better...good luck dude..dont lose hope.

Hi FH sorry for a late reply.. well blue prints r good books..but i would advice u to read kap notes first n then read some topics from blue prints which u might think r not covered in kap notes adequately..u know wat i mean..good luck

Thanks. I saw some kap notes and I really understand what you're saying as I had read thru surgery, but found that Kap notes are better explaintory in surgery then bluprints. So would have to keep both of them side by side. Thats a LOT of Reading !!!!!
