hi there I find this forum a great source of guidance and inspiration. My problem is that I have exact one month left for the exam from today.I am done with 3 readings by now.But I made ahuge mistake.I didnot revise histology and embryology the second time.My histology is totally untouched and embryology I have read just once.I have read neuroantomy 2 times from HY but I havenot seen any CTs or pictures from any where. What should I do now when I am left with only one month.Someone was telling me to do histo from robbins and read theory from kaplan anatomy..I also have web path..I dont know where is histo in there.I am using it for pathology and find it great.Secondly what about neuroanatomy. This is my weakest subject. I am really scoring bad on q bank,I am just getting 40 to 50 % again and again.I have started my final reading from today and doing q bank qith explainations.I am planning to have nbme test after two weeks when I am done with my final reading and q bank.I really need advice on neuro, histo and embryo right now..embryo I did from brs as I dont have hy,but it is too lengthy to retain.I have kaplan anatomy.what should I do..plz help me.I just have a month to go.I will appreciate your help.

i think u dont need to worry much about histo & embryo..........i have taken step 1 i got 2-4 qs. throughout the whole blocks.......for embryology study ovum /sperm stages of maturation, heart & pharyngeal arches .these r the high yield for histo read epithelium , cell junctions & cytoskeleton ... but neuro is important esp. brain stem, spinal sord, vision, tests to check nystagmus & hearing loss ....also i got some CT of brain try to improve ur neuro ....may be will2-3 Qs. per block this is all my experience about ur 3 weekneses good luck for u water lilly

Hi! First of all, don't panic! You still have plenty of time. A lot can happen in one month. You have more than enough time to integrate Kaplan into your own "stock knowledge". Listen to waterlily's advise. Good luck! I will be praying for you.

wterlily is right, I too recently took the exam, and in my experience I enccountered neuroanatomy more and more then I wanted. I honestly think I got at least 6-7 g's /block , so yes, whatever it takes do brush up your neuranatomy. I also encountered several angigrams and CT's. I think they covered all chapters of the high yeild neuroanatomy in my 1 exam. Actually gross anatomy was not that much but embryo and histo also popped up. All in all, Neuroanatomy is a must these days!! Even if you alot the time reserved for histo/grossanatomy, and do pharma especially receptors at a detailed molecular level.
