Hi guys, i planned on staring my step 2 prep today and taking the exam between the end of may and beging of june, I work halftime.

hi, i feel like reading my own post. i've just started my preparations and think of taking the exam in may or june. i don't work actually but I 've the 2 year daughter which i think might be comparable :lol: where are you from? have you taken step1 yet?

Dear friends,
I studied for 3 and half months, but the difference is that i dont work, neither i have any kid but i have a husband  who is very supportive.
I want to suggest you two, to register for may june and july period, and study for 3 months, at the end of April assess your prep and take exam accordingly. But registering is the motivation to study fast!
Another imp point is start doing questions from now, ie from the beginning.

I´m a FMG from Caracas, Venezuela, actually I start working on th middle of March, so I have one month and a haf without work, I am going to use Crush stp 2 and all Kaplan books mainly, I also have all the blueprints series but I´m not sure if I will use them at all. Where are you from? What are your resources? Would you like to have an online study partner? [/list]

I did step II in a little over 2 months. I work full time, but I spend every moment outside work studying, and did Kaplan Q-bank at work when I had a free moment. It can be done, but I will say I felt very rushed.

Hi DrOZ,
I've never had a study partner, it's my first usmle exam but I thinka I can try that if you like. I haven't got the bluprint series but what I've learnt from this forum- they are a bit superficial. I haven't got the Crush either but as a matter of fact I'm just collecting the materials. I come from Poland and I graduated 1,5 years ago.

I´m all for it, let´s try it, I have never done this partner online thing, right now what I´m doing is a first read cover to cover of Crush Step 2, i think I will be done by the end of the week. You should try to get a hold of thje kaplan books, they are the best, so when you jave them will study they same subjects. Give your input in all this and your ideas.
I am done with step 1 (87/215), I took it two years ago, I graduated this past december.

Hi,
I actually managed to get all of the Kaplan's notes in pdf, and I got the Surgery notes printed so I would focus on it now. To be honest I'm starting reading it today. I'm not quite sure what our cooperation would be like. Do you feel like making a kind of rewiews or comparing our knowledge in subjects that are not fully described in the Notes?
I hear that kaplan's surgery is better than Blueprint so I think it's a good idea to start with that.
Please let me know what you think,
