Hi everyone. I passed my Step 1 and now I'm preparing for Step 2. I got pretty usgly score for the Step 1 (189/77), just enoug for passing  . I'm preparing much harder for the Step 2 and I hope that my Step 2 score will be much better. Is it possible for me to get some residency with my Step 1 ugly score? :?:

Yes you will! But it will be easier if you get HIGH score on your step 2. Try your best!

Thanks, ELM. I hope you're right!!!! I'm preparing like a crazy for Step 2. I got my lession from Step 1. Having fun and having high scores are incompatible things [ at least for me] (unless one's having fun with books  ) Thanks for reply!!!

Absolutely correct! You CAN have fun with books! Just love them, have passion to study, learn, and expand.......damn hard to do  ....i wish i can. Seems you are doing it now....keep on going!

Yes, with your step 1 score, you can get interviews for residency, but i suppose it depends on what residency. i am going for peds, and i got a 184/76, so you could say i am in slightly worse shape than you. however, i still managed to get several interviews, so keep your head up, you'll be fine. advice: apply in new jersey, as that is where i got most of my interviews. good luck!

Thanks, maqsur ! Let me ask you something.....I suppose you passed your Step 2 so that now you're applying for residency... If it's not much to ask...what is your Step 2 score?
And, of course, good luck to you :!:
