30 yr old woman comes to the physician because of long standing unhappiness that may have started when she was rejected by her classmates as a teenager. She says that although she had good days many days are dominated by negative thoughts about herself. she appears somewhat sad and tends to be readily critical of herself. although she sleeps satisfactorily she often finds her energy level decreased by the end of the day. She also has been forgetful. She weighs 59 kgs [130 lbs], 157 cm [62 inch] tall. Physical examination and lab values are normal. Most likely diagnosis?

1] adjustment with depressed mood
2] depersonalization
3] dissociative identity
4] dysthymic
5] hypothyroidism
6] major depressive
7] schizoaffective

i think she's got dysthmic disorder ... so 4

  #8

1] adjustment with depressed mood
or
4] dysthymic
but to me she seem to be No 4 as it is long standing and adjustment should have been a short history
