10 yr old boy is brought to the physician becos of weakness and decreased apetite for 3 months.he weighs 30kg[66 ib] and is 142 cm[56inch] tall.he has had a 2.3kg[5 lb] loss since his last examination 6 months ago.he appears thin.deep tendon reflexes are brisk. Chvostek’s sign is positive. His serum calcium level is 6.5 mg/dl.and serum intact pth level is 190pg/ml[n= 9-65].in addition to calcium supplementation most appropriate next step in management?

1] oral phosphate supplementation
2] oral vitD supplementation
3] intranasal calcitonin therapy
4] parenteral bisphosphate therapy
5] parenteral PTH therapy

why not vitamin D?

you are right. I was just confused between the phosphate supplementation and Mg, since in hypocalcemia is Mg deficiency as well.
D. is correct.
