I am shocked after learning about some applicants who actually failed the exam. I talked to them during the process and they sounded well prepared and confident. They were very confident about passing and now they are so depressed. My results is not released yet, but I am so scared. I already have inveted tons of money on the interview process and cannot afford to fail. I wish good luck to all. Please keep posting your experiences so we all know what is happening. Thanks Fat Goiter

wow, that is shocking news.... I had heard that since this is an experiemental year for them they were gonna pass most if not all examinees. Especially since the scores are released so late that you cant retake the exam in time for the match. Troubling news.... Good luck with your scores. -2bmd

in fact, that is not the case. for most of us (IMGs) it is going to be harder.... way harder, because as usual, they use a percentilar scoring system which means that the passing score is adjusted to the performance rate of the population of exam takers. Including american graduates in the pool will substantially raise the standards, given that the test is similar to the cultural and idiomatic background in which they study medicine. About letting people pass just because they are delayed... i donīt know... they donīt seem to be such nice people. I am scared too... but tha's because i am just bit neurotic. I don't know a single person who have failed this great excuse to grab 1200 dollars from md's pockets.

yeah, remember the old CSA was just for IMGs, and was mostly to test your English. They can't use the same test for US Students, since presumably most speak great English. So they had to add new stuff to be tested on the exam. So don't trust the older people who say that everyone passes this test. But, as I passed it, I can tell you it is really not that hard, but you need to know US culture and how to treat US patients (and speak English)

Hi sasaidoc, Congratultions on passing cs! It gives me some relief to hear a good news on this forum, but bad news are imp as well, as we learn from others experiences. I have not understand till this point, that what is the criteria for them to assess an examinee and to pass cs. I only understand that "It is just a matter of luck!" ...any way, congrats to all who have passed cs. any suggestions for future examinees?? what did you use for prep, and how many cases did you prepared??
