New mitohondria are produced
1.in nucleus by synthesis all important components
2.in cytosol by connecting components produced in nucleus
3. by process os autoreplication

I think 3. Mitoch have their own DNA and replicate separate from the nuclear DNA.

the mitochondria have their own DNA and they replacte and provide all the oxidative phospho. enzymes via encoding this DNA and i isolated organelles that have autoreplicity ...did u get what i mean ??
