A 15 year old girl is bought to the ER by the concerned friends who said that she was acting very erratic.Her friends believed that she had been taking drugs, she ia agitated, ataxic, disoriented

what's the key point that would distinguish between the 2 (amphet -PCP); as we know both increase availability of DA, NE, 5HT (one by increasing realease, the other by inhibiting reuptake). what's the thing that makes them different?

Phencyclidine cause nystagmus, amphetamine does not !!!
Alina, please tell me the mechanism of Phencyclidine, some books say that the mechanism is not clear

hey phuluong,
lippincott says it inhibits the reuptake of DA, 5HT, NE, as i said in my previous post.
never read about nystagmus caused by PCP, thank you for bringing it out.
