Hey Sanz, To be honest with you....I have no clue. I dont imagine them having a large question bank that would give you different questions per attempt, but when I took did it for the second time the thought DID cross my mind cause there were several questions that looked brand new to me. I was afraid of remembering the questions from the last time I took it and so my score would have been inaccurate, but then I had heard from serveral people that they get questions on the real CK from the NBME practice ones, so I figured might as well. Plus I hadnt done much in term of reviewing since the time I was scheduled to take my exam, so its not like I looked up the answers to the questions. Anyhow, I DID get quite a few questions from the NBME and UW on my CK, so I would def say its worth doing twice. Maybe once right before you start your final review, and then again right before your test. If you take both on the same day, it'll give you some idea of the stamina you need as well. Good Luck, -2bmd

Hi there! Will you answer a q for me? I am terrible at math, and everytime if i see numbers or q that require calculations onestly my brain would just shut down :| , may be it's just because i know that i am too bad at this. I am very conserned about calculations on my test, eg.... burn fluid resus, biostatistic calculations, dehydration fliud resus, or any other calculations. How many times did you have to calculate on your test? What kinda qs were there?? Thank you for your reply.

Hey guys... There isnt anything on the exam that would require you to calculate anything....unless you needed to correct an electrolyte level. But I didnt have any that required it. There arent any burn, fluid, etc calc questions on there. My personal opinion, the exam is supposed to test medical knowledge, so simple electrolyte adjustment is fair game cause its a medical concept, but figuring out how much fluid to give someone relies more on math (though you should know when to give a pt NS, 1/2NS, 1/3NS, D5, etc) Even with the biostats questions...theres no calculations. Everything is in fraction form...just the way you learned it. You may need to add a couple of numbers numbers to get the denominator, or multiply to get the ratios...manipulate a 2X2. No full on crazy mathematical things. UW is your best bet as far as biostats go...their at par if not harder than whats on the exam. Good Luck, -2bmd

Hi msashraf, Im still in school, so its actually an elective you can take as a student. Im not sure if youre a student or a graduate, but there are options like observerships for graduates. You'd really have to shop around though cause not all hospitals offer them. Good Luck, -2bmd
