Yes there is a separate match for neurology . You have to apply thruogh San Francisco Matching Program . www.sfmatch.org
This match takes place earlier than NRMP . For example this year the deadline to submit ROL is January 18th . And applicants will know the results on Jan. 28th .
You still have to apply for Transitional year or Preliminary IM separatly through the ERAS and match through NRMP .

hard to get a residency in TX in what? I had several interviews here in Texas in Med, Pedi, and Med-Peds. Lots of IMGs come to TX, just that it's not as easy as in NYC

dear bbb,

i am interested getting residency for 2006, i read that some people can apply only with step 1 score. i did my step 1 on late december 2004, still waiting for the result, planning to take step 2ck in march 2005, and step 2cs might be the end of this year. i am img, graduate 1995, gc holder, and has been working as rn in illinois for 3 years. i am interested in internal medicine, pediatric or anesthesiology program. would u let me know do i have to apply after i get step 1 result or i have to wait until i get my ecfmg certificate ? thank you for your response.
