hi guys! first let me tell you that i am new at this website and i think it is good to found that i am not alone on this path. Let me congratulate you for the time you take helping others.
I'm a female from dominican republic i study med over there and i just took my step 1 in nov04 but i didn't pass, i got 141 or 59. I wish to retake my exam not late than may 05. does it be to soon. do you think that with my score i'll need more time to prepare? i will appreciate your advice.

Hi gigiMD,
I appreciate your honesty but,with this score,first you have to rule out where is the mistake? USMLE style questions or concepts ? Something is missing badly here.Maybe you need to start from the scratch?Sure,you can take it before May/05 with proper planning and techniques.
