hey the step 1 (177 failed) score report uses body systems.
the USMLE content description guide uses body systems.
BIG question..how to study..
USING body systems pattern..or SUBject wise.
another book for body systems is step-UP.
Please advice further action.

Personally, I think system by system is the best way to learn and consolidate the material. It helps to intetgrate diiferent ideas and is now the recommended learning strategy in most med schools.

did u use the kaplan body system ( home study program) books, bcoz i studied from the notes which is subject wise, and unfortunatly i didnt make it through in the first attempt, can u tell me if studin by the system was better ........ i know u must be lookin for the sam e answer but if u do find some thing plz let me know
one more thing are u from pakistan .........

If you go straight from somalia. then swim couple of thousand miles. then turn left..you will reach yemen.....turn left again then right..then keep goin straight..then left again...then come back a few steps and turn right...you will reach wat is now called AN-island-submerged-under-water secondry to Tsunami...NOW if you looks straight in the direction your nose is pointing..THATS where i am from  well not exactly..but close to that place.And WAT makes you think i am from pakistan.off alL the places in the world.
YArrr...i studied subject wise kaplan. .now i have Step -up whcih is system wise. I cant decide whcih is beter.
Cant wait to do all of kaplan i have to get into the next match.
giving it march first. do or die.

You guys I agree system wise is the best way to go. I first read everything as it came in my kaplan notes subject by subject. But now Iam trying to make it work system wise since it makes more sence to read only once restrictive an obstructive dz for example. BUT it is taking me more time, Plus (don't laugh) I have cut the kaplan physiology and pathology and organized them system by system. :shock: BUT NOW by reading your postings I realize you can get system wise study guides from kaplan? Can someone pls expand. I will be greatful.

I thought about cutting out the books and punching out holes in them and organizing them system wise but......
that would just take way too much time for me.
how's that working out for you?
