There is some sperm on the way out. I remember I read that it takes 15-20 ejaculations to clear the sperm out of the system. Anyway, other answers do not sound so good. A. Why should testicles atrophy? There is still testosterone. The sperm is continuing to form, it is just reabsorbed and not getting out. B erectile disorders - no nerve is cut, just vas deferens, so why would it affect erection? C. I can't find any explication why would one have numbness of posterior scrotum - I believe it is not a site of incision, but I might be wrong. E. Sperm makes a small percentage of ejaculate - like less than 5%.
