hi i'm enrique from monterrey mexico,i heard that some people first become a certified nurse to get the residency visa in usa,then they work as a nurse until they pass their usmle exams,this is valid or how does it works? i'm interested in this

you would need to have a nursing diploma because medical diploma doesn't qualify for nursing license. If you have nursing diploma, apply to CGFNS/Visa Screen, take CGFNS test, English tests, NCLEX-RN, find an employer in the US who would sponsor you directly for a green card. Work as a Registered Nurse for a few years, pass usmle and go to residency.
