how r u doing? well im feeling pretty good now...waiting for my result in mail...read someone's post that he got results in mail on 3rd march when oasis was updated on 2nd..thats kinda strange..i hope result dont change in mail..lol.....like i said u dont have to check ur oasis now as its just 3 weeks after ur exam..check it on 17th ..im sure u will pass...who knows may b we will end up in same program...that will be scary.. :lol:

well when we took exam i think the software was still the old one..fred to my knowledge wont b implemented till august-sept. this year...there's not much difference between..i know that for step 3 its fred software...but when i practiced from usmle cd with fred software i didt find it any different..wat u can do is try the usmle cd questions with fred software as it has it all.......good luck..im sure u will do gr88

I am doing fine and was busy as usual, on the weekend. You might get your score report today, it will be the same, dont worry!

Hi Dev,
When i was taking CK, i got the software which had both fred and the older version of exam. I practiced fred, but my exam was on older version. I didnt know at that time that fred will be implemented after August, I am still not sure about it. Its very easy, but need to be practiced at least one time.

glad to know that u r enjoying n having fun..i got my result in mail today.......phew!!!!!!!!! wat a relief....now i have to wait for ECFMG certificate...now im officially done with all exams except step 3...i was thinking that atleast they would let u know if ur performance was good, excellent something like that..but it just says that they provide graphic representation only to those candidates who fail...  :roll: ..it says "overall pass/fail outcome--pass" ..well im relieved that atleast i passed all my exams in first attempt...u can start checking ur oasis next thursday..coz this thursday it will b just 4weeks after ur exam...n im sure u will do gr88..u worked hard .. so u never said anything abt wat if we end up in same program??..lol
well now i can apply for step 3 after i get my ecfmg certificate...i have plenty of time to take that exam...will try to see if i can find some spot in post match this year........best wishes n good luck

Hi BB,
I checked oasis today and still no result yet! You are right i should check it from next wednesday. But i do it because they might release my result in just 4 weeks  !
You are now done with all exams and ready to apply for the 3rd. If you get a post match, when would you take step 3 then?
If we end up in the same program...........??? Yes it is scarry :shock: !
No i am just kidding  .
May i get my passing result before post match!

How are you guys doing?
It must be soo nice to get over with all these exams BB, isn't it? I just can't wait! Like you have said in a matter of couple months i should be all done.
Hey BB and Sar, why are you guys talking about taking step 3 now? I thought you don't have to take that before residency? Is the any benifit taking it before residency? Because I got no energy to take any more exams now besides CK and CS. :cry: I am sick of these tests, really. Tell me why you guys taking step 3 now, before residency. May be there is a secret that i am not aware of. :lol:
Also Sar, what's this CME credit bussiness here? :lol: I thought it was required just to lisenced practitioners to keep their lisences valid, because my doc do that every year and i go with him sometime for his CME seminars, well if he is going to nice places, like on a cruise and stuff. :lol: Do we really benifet from those premature CME credits? I have no clue about this. Clear this for me, please.
Also BB, where are you applying at? I mean in what specialty?
Also Sar, are you planning to do extern, obserwer, research or whatever for your USCE? Have you get any luck with that? I heard about this Mini residency at Mt.Sinai in Maimi, but seems that's an observership rather an externship.
Anyway,that's enough qs, and confusions of mine for now.
The big days is in liitle over in 2 weeks from now, and I am doing full time sleeping. :lol: It's crazy that a test getts closer my intensity of study declines, i don't know why, but this is a concrete valid fact of mine. :lol: it allways happens.

Elm, I have answered some of your questions on replying your pm. Now for step 3, we can take it during the residency or before it or after it, and it is not required for getting in to a residency program. If you have time before starting residency you can take it. I will think about it after my CS result, and also if i dont get residency this yr. I will have time then, to study for step 3.
I will do externship, but after i get my result. I will apply for it after CS result.
You dont have to think about these things before your CS. We are talking about these, as we are free and we need something to talk about
So dont worry and study hard for your CK! I am sure you will do great.

how ru doing dude?...u probably r sleeping more coz u know ur stuff already..n moreover it is always good to get good night sleep b4 ur exam...well regarding step 3, i think Sar answered ur questions pretty well...well im going to try my luck for post match...if i get any residency or not im gonna take my step 3 this year..either by june or august coz i want to b done with all exams n have less worries during residency as residency itself is a hectic job...i know everyone gets sick of taking these exams but since im already sick of taking these exams so taking another one won't make big difference in my health..lol....right now i will apply for internal medicine coz thats wat i did for match too..n after that i would see where n which field i wanna do fellowship in......yeah we have lotsssssss of free time thats y me n Sar discuss unnecessary things here..lol..regarding CME..well as Sar told me i tried that..but it asks u if u r a US medical school student or MD..which we neither are right now i think..so dunno how can it help u.......2 weeks now for the big day huh!!. i have no doubt in my mind that u will achieve gr888 score in this exam..just hang in there dude...good luck n best wishes

so r u gonna apply for post match too?? well u have to have ur options open if u r looking for peds...i mean that u should b willing to go n do residency wherever u find an empty position..but i guess its ur personal decision.....like i said b4 that u r GOING TO PASS UR CS EXAM....PERIOD!!!

Dont think like that...you will have a good score. Your aim should be higher than this. Exam wont be that bad as you are thinking about it, just keep practicing questions.
