Uw is all right, i extended it for 1 more week to go over qs again. I bought Kaplan online q bank too sar, even i did those qs I mentioned to you, remember?
Getting little tense, but nothing like i was before step 1.
My fingers are crossed for your CS results guys!
My CS would be on 12th May.

Hi elm,
Besides uw, you should have one more book for pt notes. I used Kaplans CS book. I didnt have first aid, but lots of people advise first aid, so i think you should see that one and buy which ever you like. If you have any one of these 2 (kap or first aid) you dont need OSCE then.
Few more days elm and you will be free! CS prep is not as tense as step 2 is. So you can prepare for CS with fun! Just concentrate on your studies these days for step 2. Hope you will get a good score. Your prep is going fine. When is your CK??

You are getting closer to your cs result. Wiaitng is soooooooooooo difficult.

Hi Elm.........well i think Sar replied to ur question abt getting wat other material besides UW for CS..i too think first aid might b good as lot of people have said good stuff abt it...personally i used UW plus a CD i bought on ebay.....good luck with ur prep...im sure to hear good news from u...another 99er..yipeee :lol:

Did i tell you that my test is postponed till 28th March. I am soo sad that i had to do that.Now i afraid i am gonna forget all the stuff that i learned while i am lying in bed! ........have to torture another whole month :cry: .....but what else i could do, you know. Sorry for telling you this.
But at least i am better! What are you doing these days Sar? and you too Bugs??

hope this messg of mine finds u in best of health n spirits.. i heard that u were sick..sorry to hear that..so u think it was pancreatitis or wat?? did u go see a doc?? well ELM to b honest if i was sick i would have moved the date of my exam too coz i think health comes first no matter wat...if u r not healthy how can u expect to give ur 100%..u made the right decision..just hang in there..it might seem tough right now but u will b the happiest person when u get the score u want..i salute u people for studying so long for these exams.,.i really dont have tht much patience to study more than 4 months for any exam..i studied 3 n half months for step 1 n almost 4 months for step 2..but i guess if ur target is to get 99 then it dont matter....if u have any questions feel free to ask...may i know where u r currently? i mean USA or some other place? well get well soon n good luck..make sure u revise ur kap notes b4 exam.
dunno wat happened to Sar..may b she's busy partying..she deserves to party now..have a chivas regal from my side too Sar..lol...excuse me Sar if u dont drink..im juts trying to b a SA!! lol hope to hear from u soon..good luck

Hope you are doing fine now. Its better to take rest before that tiring exam, in which you have to sit for a long period of time. Get well soon, and then take an exam with full energy!
Elm, try to read some thing while you are in bed, or if you can sit, then take some time to do some questions. Dont sit for a long period of time but do a little bit. Q-book is good in these days, or if you have a lap top you can do online questions too. You can read crush.
What i want to say is that do something daily, to be in touch with your studies!

Yes i am enjoying free period. Wake up late in the morning, go to bed late night, watching movies, doing household works, etc etc. Not so much parties and yes I dont drink!
I dont have kids, so i dont have a lot of work to do. My husband suggests me to get CME credits. So I have started doing it from yesterday just to be in touch. BB you should think about it also.
I am counting down for our CS results. How is your job going on?
I will think about externship after enjoying few more days!

wat r CME credits???? im sorry but i have no clue abt them n how can u do it??
i asked u abt step 3 kaplan notes?? did u find anything abt it??
well my job is going good so far.
waiting for step 2 CS result is nerve wrecking..i salute all those who had to wait for so long for their CS results ...dont even know if i would get it b4 post match..seems like a remote possibility now.

Hi BB,
I had seen the movies that you have mentioned. Among those i like cold mountain. I dont like Mystic river.
I watched "First Daughter" recently. Its a light movie. I watched a foreign movie, (chinese movie with english caption), but i forgot its name. I liked that a lot.
Sorry, i forgot about step 3 kap notes. I searched their site. Step 3 notes are available on their site in different packages. Like one with "lecture note plus q-bank" etc. I searched uw, which is as usual cheaper than kap, and also my friend reommends uw so i will take that one.
But I am not ready for step 3. I havent thought about it, till my CS result. I have one month and some days in my expected CS result.
Now about CME,
this is the address, go on this site and register, and then start CME http://www.medscape.com/homeindex?src=hdr
I saw some resumes, and people mention that they have earned that number of (whatever you have earned) CME credits. It might have a good impact on your resume!

Hi dev,
Go on www.medscape.com
Get register.
Click on CME.
Choose whatever subject you want to from the "speciality specific CME center"(like Int med, or psychiatry, surgery etc)
Then choose any topic of CME listed on the page, under the heading of Medscape CME Professional education or medscape CME circle, News etc.
click on any of the topic you want to do.
Read that topic or go to Post test,
Do that test, submit it and you will get credit. 1 credit for one hr. ( You can do the test while open the window of that material).

sorry for replying late coz i was at my job.just got home....i was in forums last nite n someone told me to check ADTS..so i did tht n there was a new usmle trancript update for 2nd march...but oasis was not yet updated..couldt sleep whole night..got up in morning found tht my oasis was updated...tried oasis trick..found out i passed.yahooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! i did it...........
now only step 3 is left...hopefully i can apply for scramble too now....iit took 5 weeks for my oasis to b updated after my exam....i think urs should b updated around 17th march....im sure u would pass....if i did even after all those blunders anyone can...good luck

I checked oasis and it is not yet updated. Is it the same process of doing the trick as it was in CK? Is your oasis account showing score report date?? Can you tell me the way of oasis trick again?

Hi Sar thanx a lot..im soooooooo relieved now..now i can take my time to study for step 3....like i said b4..i checked my ADTS last nite..which is applicant data tracking system when u apply to eras for match n stuff...there was a update for a new usmle transcript dated 2nd march..i was so nervous coz this meant oasis would b updated that night as same thing happened for step 2 CK..so i went to bed..couldt sleep..got up to get ready for job but logged into forums to find out people found out they passed so i checked oasis it said CS score report sent on 2nd march..so i anxiously but nervously tried oasis trick which is when ur oasis get updated n u try to apply for same exam again thru IWA n if u passed it wont let u register for new exam.....its all ur best wishes....wish i could share with u my happiness......i think ur oasis might get updated around 17th coz it will b 5 weeks for u too..check ur oasis on 17th or if u have applied to eras..check ADTS on 16th...im sure u would pass.....i think if u did the basics like knocking on door..greeting..draping..washing hands..addressing their concerns n counselling where they needed ..u would definitely pass even if u were not able to finish 1 or 2 cases.....my best wishes r with u..told u my bad handwriting might have helped me in my pt. notes..lol..wat abt my other question i asked u on ur pm?? lemme know...keep ur fingers,,toes n everything possibly u can cross on ur body...lol

it seems from december CS results are being announced earlier.my friend had given it in end of december,she got the result in mid jan.ECFMG has made it apolicy to give results earlier it seems.
so u will be getting urs soon too.i know that u will pass.so just enjoy!!
