well i dont think i saw anyone wearing gloves coz it wastes lot of time putting them on..either u wash ur hands or wear gloves but i washed hands everytime coz i think its easier n it gives u time to ask SP if he wants to add anything n also u can think abt wat system to examine..dont worry abt minor cuts..SP wont see ur hands...just relax today n go over some UW notes if u want to........good luck..im sure u'll ace it. :icon_salut:

Thanks Elm and bugsbunny,
As i told you, i am not sure how i did, but i am just praying for the passing result. Right now i am feeling relaxed as i dont have to study for any exam!
Bugsbunny, I have no idea about Step 3 books etc. I will search step 3 forum after i get back to home, to see what others are studying. A friend of mine has just passed step 3, she prepared from uw step 3 course plus some help from step 2 kaplans notes. I will let you know if i get further info.
From the day of my cs till now I have recalled many blunders that i made. Just after the exam i think i was disoriented, but now as i regained my orientation, i can recall so many mistakes, foolish mistakes, that i did! Its just up to GOD now!
So dont worry bugsbunny, it happens to everyone i guess. I hope you will pass this exam. I am not sure about post match, as my result is expected in April, but you should go for it, after you get your result.

did u apply to programs for residency this year or not?
Im sure u did pretty well on ur exam..atleast u completed all ur encounters on time[ not like me, i could't finish two of mine  ]
did u have any problems draping SP's?
im waiting for my result now..it might b out by end of this month or by beginning of March..cant even focus on studying for step 3 .
did u type ur pt. note ?
i have committed so many blunders on this exam....i guess i have to wait n find out.

Hi BB or CR,
Dont think too much about your exam, i cant tell you how many blunders i made. I didnt do councelling in many encounters because i ran out of time. Procotrs came in many times to take me out I typed pt notes, made many mistakes in that too.
I didnt have any prob with Draping of pt. If i did any mistake, Sp would know it better, I did whatever I read, to be a right method.
I was acting like a robot, who didnt understand anything, just doing things schematically or systematically.
I didnt apply thru ERAS, I sent an application ( by hand) to just one program but i was so late that time, they didnt call me for an interview, and said we will call you if some one drop out. I was not sure about my CK thats why i didnt apply this yr. Now i am waiting for CS result plus an interview call.
I am not thinking of step 3, i want to do some externship or any job. Not sure at this time. Still relaxing!
What are you doing these days, step 3 prep or externship or a job??

im sure u did well..i might get my result by end of this month or by beginning of March ...well i didt know anything abt programs who do not participate through ERAS..but when i was done applying i found out tht there's one program in NJ which takes applications on paper..so im assuming u applied to same program in NJ...well so u still have chances of getting an interview call..good luck....i have a chance only if i get my CS result by post match.
well to b honest with u im not studying for step 3 yet coz im waiting for my CS result.but im gathering stuff to prepare for step 3...
i have a job where i go daily now

how r u doing?..im sure u r having a gr88 time..must b good to relax now n enjoy weekends ..well i ain't doing much these days...the same old routine...well i dunno if we would get CS results at same time coz u took CS 2 weeks after i did..so far noone has recieved results for exam taken in january..im hoping tht mine might b out in first or second week of march..but yeah u can start checking ur oasis after i get mine.

Sar if u dont mind can u tell me when did u graduate from ur med school??...im thinking i might b the old graduate among young doctors :oops:

Its difficult to wait for the result, ....but whatelse we can do except wait wait and wait. Its just 10 days since i took my exam but it seems as if many days have passed. You are getting closer to your result day. Best of luck for your result!
I am doing nothing, ....we were out of town for a week. So i am enjoying stress free period so far.
You know if i tell you my grad date you would know my age, and you should know that we (females) are very sensitive about our age

Ok , i will tell you whenever i get info about step 3. I have a question...i searched step 3 forum, and from there i got a conclusion that we need to have an ecfmg certificate in order to get registered for step 3...is it correct?? what do you know about it?? I also searched FSMB site, someone gave this link in her post. You can also check it. www.fsmb.org

tht was a fast reply...im glad u r enjoying ur free time..n i didt mean to find out abt ur age when i asked ur grad. date...i think u can't judge someone's age just by finding the date of graduation ..well any way im relieved to know im not the oldest member on this forum..lol
i was just wondering coz if i apply next year for match i might b an old gard by tht time so i didt know how much my chances were next time..
one more thing...do u think tht if someone fails CS it would count as an attempt on step 2..coz now CS is a part of step 2...
well yeah i know that u have to have ecfmg certificate to register for step3..thts y i have been waiting for my CS results...n yeah i think we apply through NBME but i think it would take u to same FSMB website too..well we will find out abt it soon...good luck

Hi BB,
Dont worry about being an old grad for applying. I know many docs older than me, who were graduated in 1991, 92, and they got residency last yr. They didnt have a score in 90s. I think you are a strong candidate as you have score in 90s plus you were graduated in 2003 or 2001 (i forgot), just prepare well for interview and do externships. I hope you will get a residency of your choice.
I dont know about failing cs and no of attempts for step 2? It might count as a second step 2 attempt, i am not sure.
Although i am an older grad, but i am still optimistic about getting a residency, so you should be optimistic as well, as you are a stronger candidate than me!

how r u doing? sorry for a late reply ..was just kinda busy.. well i graduated in 2001 n not 2003.lol..its not that im not optimistic..sometimes just this thought of being an old graduate creeps up in my mind,,u know we all r humans...lol
n u should stop putting urself down too..nobody is a stronger candidate than anyone..it all depends upon how good a person u r n how good u tackle interviews..n moreover i dont even know ur step 1 score..scores might help u in getting interviews but after all tht u r on ur own..u know wat i mean...n dont worry u will pass ur CS..i have more confidence in u than i have in me...is't that strange..lol...u can start checking ur oasis after my oasis updates for my exam..hope everbody's struggle with these exams ends in a successful n positive result.
