Hey all, i'm almost finished with my first reading have micr/immuno and hematology to go,i only have 6 weeks until my exam and i decided to take the nmbe form 1 to see what i need to improve. I studied many of the subjects a while ago like 6 months.i stopped studying for a while (2 months)and only started 1 1/2 months ago. I got a 720 on the nbme with most of the topics in higher performance and genetics in borderline. my question is how accurate is the assessment.I havent really studied seriously as i always watch tv and study together(Have to stop that!!) and i was really confused with alot of the questions.I thought i did really badly and was prepared for the worst. How can i be so confused and end with a pretty ok score?

WOW DiaHuq, That NBME score is amazing.!!! From reading this forum your score is all the way up to 99!!! Go to step 1 exam experiences & you can see the correlation. Good luck on your exam. What books are you studying???

basically the kaplan books, anatomy i read from high yield, and pathology i listened to goljan(still listening, not done yet).i still haven't used first aid yet or step up,but i'm thinking of reading through it....i didn't think i did well while taking the exam,i would just narrow it down to a 2 or 3 and then guess.maybe if i took it again it would be a different score? :|
