HI,

noone has replied because we are all on the same side and it'sreally difficult to judge how much chance someone has...
I'm not really an expert but I would say it depends on the specialty, your clinical experience, your usmle scores, LORs, and "location, location, location"...
I mean I'm sure there are different parts of the US (ie under-served areas) where it's easier to get a spot whereas other parts+ a competitive field could give you more headaches...
I think your question was to general so don't get upset if noone could answer it...
Anyway, in my opinion the beauty of this country is that NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE so if you really want to get into recidency I think you can! No matter what. Probably it's not going to be the best spot but I'm sure you can achive whatever you want to!

I hope this helps...

Regards,
Mufurc

Hi,
I know that our chance will not be as good as the fresh graduates, but i think we still have a chance, may be not the best program, or may be not the specialty you want, but still we can get something. The only thing we really need to have is a very good score!!

I read on the forum that there are residents who are 52 and even 58 years old.

Don't feel alone, this is the last thing you need to feel.
