hello friends!
I submitted my online application form along with the fees( paid by credit card) for step 1 yesterday. however i have not submitted the certification statement which is also required to be sent , in order for the form to be properly processed & for me to get an identification number.
i have been given a transaction number.
I want to know that will i not be sent any acknowledgement to my email id that my form & money has been accepted. It is nowhere mentioned in the ecfmg website that an acknowledgement will be sent.
Will i get an acknowlegement? If yes, then in how many days?
Is it not important to get an acknowledgement since so much money has been paid!!

as u register u would have given a mail id of urs...u will be getting an email from ecfmg like this
Dear Doctor:
We are pleased to confirm that the On-Line part of your USMLE Step 1
application (Application Identification Code xxxxxxxxxxxxxx) has been
received by ECFMG. Your USMLE/ECFMG Identification Number is listed in the
Subject line of this message. You must use this number in all
communications with ECFMG.
Once your Certification Statement (Form 183) has been received and your
application has been reviewed, ECFMG will send you written notice of
the outcome of your application. ECFMG processes on-line USMLE Step 1 and
Step 2 CK applications within 10 calendar days of receipt of both the
on-line part and the Certification Statement. You may track the status
of your application by using ECFMG?s On-line Applicant Status and
Information System (OASIS). Access OASIS on the ECFMG website at
oasis.ecfmg.org.
u can wait for few days ..as this is holiday season...u can regiter with oasis and check ur account...don't worry..it is very safe process...u can call ecfmg also
