i gave step-1 in nov. & i failed ,i want to retake the exam pls somebody help me last time i read theory & did mcqs-kaplan only for a month ,i want to know how shd i start now? shd i focus most on mcqs & revise theory side by side?

Hi,
See in what subjects you were weak and start studying them first. I think once again you have to read the kaplan lectures , then start the questions.
I hope this time u get a good score.

you should concentrate on your 2 weakest subjects... read the subjects, then do qbook in those subjects....if you run outta of questions in qbook, try getting brs or nms questions but stick to those subjects. Once you are satisfied with them.. revise patho and physio (the most important subjects).... then do qbank(NEVER do qbank question wise, always do it in random blocks)... Doing all this should take a month (give or take a week)... and then you have the rest of the time left to tackle your best subjects. While Goljan lectures are really good, goljan lecture notes I think are much more difficult, but that much better. If you can get through the 100pgs (or i dunno there are soo many different versions and any of them is fine) a few times (one quick reading, then a slow one) you will improve... also read the other post "181/74 should i recheck" in this forum.. you are not alone.. and that makes a lot of difference.
ALWAYS concentrate on your weak areas... Some books you will only need to read once, and some maybe 3 or 7 times... but reading what you already know is the biggest waste of time; so don't do it!! (ie as long as you are scoring good in a subject, then don't study it; no matter how you "feel" about it.)

plese give me some advice how to deal wiht failure and get the strength for the second time .what shoud I keep in mind ,I trayed but I think i was very overwelmd by the idea of taking the exam than the exam itself,I was scared of it ,,,,
