I am doing step2 Kaplan Q-book now. I have finished psychiatry, surgery, and ob/gyn. Most of blocks fall in 60 - 70%. I keep seeing people mentioned that Q-book is far too easy and they usually scored > 80%. I am really scared and don't have courage to take Q-bank. Is Q-book really so easy? Could anyone tell me what your score is? Thanks! I am really worried about my performance. [-o<

Don't worry....read little more ....you will get better score! You have to know the concepts well to score higher....without core solid knowlegde.....doing qs is total waste of time! Read and know the stuff before you do qs! then see what happens! You will get good scores.....i did some of q book.....got 80-90s.....after studying ONLY! Know your stuff FIRST...then do qs! Do not worry before that!

I dont think anyone can say for sure. I think its a good thing youre doing questions now. I also think it all depends entirely how you study. With me, I bought the UW subscription right when I started studying, b/c I need something to gauge myself against. Im not a very motivated studier, and by doing questions it helps me focus on what I know and what I need help on. The biggest thing I got out of doing questions before I was SOLID in my understanding was learning HOW to study the material. If you arent happy with your scores, go over questions and see whether there was a problem in you not knowing something, or them testing something you KNOW but in a way that you didnt study. THAT is the KEY. Go over it enough times, and you will soon see, you'll get the hang of what they are looking for based onthe info they give you. But you cant do this if you dont do questions, so DONT BE SCARED. If you think youre scoring low...good, at least you know it now while you still have some time to do something about it. As far as numbers go, that too varies. My exam is in a few days, and on the Qbook I scored about 76% or so, dont remember, didnt do all the tests. But in UW, I recently started hitting 74-93% for first time questions. So you cant really say what to go by. Anyhow, I know its frustrating to study and do questions and not do as well as you'd like. But stick with it, and you'll see your understanding and performance will jump incredibly. Just keep doing questions, b/c you DO need feedback to know if youre studying the way you should be. Lots of Luck, -2bmd

Well .....i don't mean to confuse anybody here.... just mentioned what i prefer the most in my way of study! Do what you like to do! If qs teaching you the most .....do them...if books teaching you organised, and whole picture of concepts read them well! Whatever you do good luck to you!!
