Hi guys,

I threw an inquiry regarding this program earlier on this forum and now I have already interviewed there and I'm gonna share my experience.

There were 6 of us, I was the only FMG. 1 applied for Med/Ped, 2 for Prelim, 3 for categorical. The day started with meeting with the program secretary and went over the itinerary plan. The interview started shortly thereafter with only one interviewer who was different for each candidate. No medical questions (don't know about the other interviewers though), it was very laid back and I was only asked about routine questions you can find in Iserson's. We then proceeded to hospital tour at Queens Med center, Kuakini med center, and lastly, lunch at a country club.

The residents seemed, of course, happy. No doubt that it was a nice place to live, and queens medical center was also a nice hospital. You can see the beach in the distant from there and also the surrounding area which was gorgeous. Kuakini med center was also nice. The lunch was the best smiling face We got to eat at a country club which was located at the foot of a hill (I don't recall the street), overlooking waikiki area and the beach in the front, and beautiful mountain in the back.

Despite the beauty and spellbinding nature of the place, I don't feel good about the program. The PD seemed distant, she didn't meet with us. The teaching seemed lacking. There used to be a couple residents go for elective at stanford, not anymore now.

Ok.. that's all I can think of for now. Feel free to ask.
