To the poor guy who started this thread and I feel that every one is ignoring him, most of the program directors have step 1 score at the time of shortlisting for interview (I beleive), and if they standardize their selection then step-1 score carries more weight. You should get some US clincal experience with US references, I am sure that will help.

ps is personal statement which we are suppose to give at the time of application for residency. Kaplan is best source to look for it. they also give kaplan residency kit which iinculde everything we are suppose to know & do in a step by step manner including ps. covering entire process relating to residency application.
