Everyone on this thread please note the following:
Use the OASIS trick only after your scores have been reported. Else it will/won't let you reapply based on your Eligibility Period.
Case 1: Score reported at OASIS.
If its lets you reapply, then I am sorry you've most likely failed.
Case 2: Score not reported at OASIS. Eligibility Period not expired.
It will not let you reapply. You cannot know your pass/fail status right now. You will have to wait till scores are reported at OASIS.
Case 3: Score not reported at OASIS. Eligibility Period has expired.
It will let you reapply. But DO NOT PANIC. You again will have to wait for the scores to be reported.
BOTTOMLINE: Use the OASIS trick only after your scores have been reported!
P.S.: I have experiences Case 3 and believe me it can be horrifying. Eventually, I tried it again after scores were reported and was very relieved on passing ;-)

hi, my oasis wz updated last night (3rd wednesday after exam) n i used IWA n it worked I PASSED! thanks everyone n plz pray for me as i wait for my scores to arrive

Hello everybody!
I never wrote anything before, but I want to say that oasis can be updated other days than wednesday. I was waiting for my results for 1 month, checking oasis almost every day. My oasis was updated on monday, It said that score was reported on october 11 (but when I got it by mail it was saying Oct 13). I did oasis trick and it worked. I got results the same day by mail.

For non-IMGs, beware this doesn't work for NBME website!
I was scared to death when it let me proceed with making another application (I didn't go all the way, but it let's you enter registration info). Turns out I did really well on the exam, but trying to do this got me so worried since I thought I failed it.

i have a question for anyone who is willing to answer? so i took my exam october 11, and my scores went up this morning. when i checked, it let me register for my exam again. however, my eligibility period was from aug 1 to oct 31, does this mean i failed or does it mean that it was due to my eligiblility period?

hey, i think it was due to your eligibility period. I took my exam on 10th october and they wrote my scores were sent yesterday. my eligibility period is from sept 1 to nov 30. it let me to register for exam. now i have the worst time in my life.i'm waiting for mail.
do you think i failed?????

hey guys does anyone really know for sure if OASIS updates ONLY on wed. or could it possibly update any days in the week after wed, coudl i still find out this week say today at some point or tomorrow? or am i gonna have to wait to next thurs?

Well, in my case the OASIS trick worked... I was waiting for my step 1 and step 2 CS score pretty much at the same time since I took CS 1 month before step 1. I was checking OASIS every wed and sat. So one Wednesday I saw that the CS had been reported, did the trick and it gave me the red page (thanks god!). BUT... I start freaking out with the step 1 that was taking so long to be reported so I checked the OASIS thursday and friday night... nothing. Saturday morning I checked again and it was updated and the trick worked again. I got the paper on the mail 1 week later. So.... better check every night.

Hi everyone...
I see I am the first one in this year (Happy New Year to all of us!!!) to post on this issue.
Well, I had my step 1 on Dec 23, 2006... Lot's of uncertainty, but don't strongly feel that I failed. I tried the trick one week after the date of the exam, and had a red alert on the screen saying that I was registered yet so I was not eligible to re-apply. Certainly, that was because I was covered by my EP (ended on Dec 31, 06). However, today I was given a right to re-apply. Was scared but after I read all the above posts, I could calm myself down because what I did was wrong - the score isn't reported yet (again, it's just 10 days after I took the exam). Hope I will hear anything by the end of the month since my wife is gonna take her Step 1 on Feb 12. Thanks to everybody who made those valuable clarifications (see above case 1 vs case 2 vs case 3). No doubts, the trick should work - the system is created not to foolish us but to help us to make the way easy. We just use it in an alternative way... happy new yr members.
i just checked iwa,freaked out.took exam on 7th,so its high time my scores were reported.but alas ECFMG let me reapply,i hope it was coz my eligblity ended in dec.
the above posts were a life saviour.thanks friends.....known and unknown for all the info.
whtever will be the result i got a glimplse of how bad i'd feel if i failed!

i am feeling relieved now, cause my scores are not reported yet, my EP is finished and i tried to apply and it let me to apply again, so after reading all these posts , ai m praying to God & i have some hope.

Was sitting and waiting for the OASIS update... Had the exam on Dec 23, 06, and today is Jan 17, 07. Well, the OASIS was updated, and when I switched to the IWA, I got the whole screen red and no way to proceed to Step 1 re-application... Thanks goodness for this remarkable evidence... So, now need to wait till the paper report is dropped into my mailbox... The trick works...

Dear Friends,
I am an IMG. I took my exam on 27 Dec 2006 and my OASIS updated on 17 Jan 2007 (3rd wk) . OASIS trick worked and I got the red massage. Can anyone say how long does it take that my score reach to an international destination (sweden) ? any experience ?

It's been two weeks after my score is reported in 17 Jan 2007 and I am still waiting. I just realized that waiting is one of the most difficult thing to do for me ! Is there anybody in the same condition ?

Hi Guys,
I had given my exam on 17th Jan. it is 3.5 weeks. my oasis is not updated still. I,am quite worried. Is it normal.. Iam checking at ecfmg.org and then logging on to oasis. On checking my Score status, it is neither showing my date of exam nor score release date.
Is there anyone else in same situation.

I took my exam on Jan16th, even Im waiting for OASIS update. This long wait for result is even more torturous than taking exam !! We will have to wait for one more week !!

I took exam on feb 23rd, and this is my 3rd week, i hope today i will see my reports...i dont want to wait for another week
.....i did the trick and IWA let me reapply so im very sad i guess the obvious is i failed.
