cancer... but it could be unintended injury... the kaplan notes specify 25 33 and then 33 44 and unintended injuries is #1, and #2 respectively. But i would guess that cancer is by far the biggest killer at this age (44) and that enough 40 year olds might die of cancer to overule unintended injury.. but it is just a guess... so anyone know?

i don't even see aids in the top ten in kaplan... it says it is the fifth leading cause of death for 25 to 44.... but not even in the top ten overall....

ok i too think so. it is unlikely that aids be more common than cancer or cardiac disease etc.

recently i have read somewhere that now aids has replaced injuries as cause of death in this age segment

I'd go with accidents too. Under 34 is accidents for sure. Then it becomes cancer.

25-34--unintended injuries
35-44-Neoplasia
45-55-Neoplasia
55-65-Neoplasia
over 65- Heart Disease
40?-- figure it out!!!
