hi bbb I am preparing my papers for eras.I have recommendation letters from Us physisions but i wanted to know if it would be helpful if i have my recommendation letters from my own attending form my home country,and how it affects on my application.Is it preferable to have the recommendation letter from Us attending? Also I wanted to know if i want to apply for different program and different hospitals do i ahve to have different personal statements with different programs and different hospitals on it i Eras?//If it si true we have to have a lot of different statements in our Eras to use indifferent situations... please respond bbb ,thank you so much for your big help

ERAS web site will have much more information than I know about ERAS. I only have the receiving end of the application, not the processing. Sorry (and if you are applying for this year, make certain that hospitals are still reviewing applications!)

you may send up to 4 LOR's through ERAS.. some programs only require 2 or 3 LOR's..you should use LOR from US attendings if possible..I used two from US and two from home country(med school)...ERAS enables you to create more than one personal statement so you may send a different statement to whichever program you choose.

some applicants create a different personal statement for different specialties to which they apply..it's not required, but an available option.
