Thanks for reply about rapid review.You mentioned in your first post that
My Qbank cumulative score was 66%
NMBE form 1 480, done 1 month ago.
Kaplan simulated test 66%
USMLE CD 43,38,40
So,I want to aske u...
When did u take these tests...did u take NBME part 2..if not,then when r u planning to take it ?So many Qs.. P post the answers when u get time..

Hi Niti,
I took finished Qbank in December 2004, only did mixed Qs towards the end. I found subjectwise score will be higher than mixed.
I took NBME form 1 on 11/30/2004. Did USMLE CD in mid-December,2004. I took NBME form 2 on 2/13/2005, and got 630.
I still have some Qs in Qbook that I haven't finish. Hopefully can do some BSS Qs before the exam. When is your exam?

Thanks for the quick reply.Your score is really great & I am sure u will achieve your goal P I am planning to take in May/05 but haven't taken NBME .I did some QBANK ..subjectwise score ranges from 60-80%...& yes, random is lesser than subjectwise ! I need to work hard..

Thanks Niti. I am just getting less and less productive. All I did over the weekend was to finish BS notes and biochemistry part of FA, and some 20 pages of biochemistry notes. :cry: Did 70 BSS Qs and only got 52%

u did quiet a productive job this weekend..BSS score ??...don't bother so much..real one r qbank & NBME...and keep doing revisions...as much as u can..bec u r next in a row..march/15 is not so far...2 wks ONLY 8)

don't worry about BSS Qs, everyone says they are ridiculously hard. I was scoring in the 50s-60s too when I first used them....they are a good learning tool but reaally really tough.

your scores look good!!!, and the 630 nmbe looks sweeeeeeettt. ur going to destroy it! Screw BSS, they have some intense answer explanations as well.

Thanks Rox. Actually I was surprised about this form 2 score too. I hope it has good correlation because my anatomy is ranked very high performance in NBME form 2 but it's my weak subject... Anyway I guess it won't do me any good to worry too much at this moment. I will keep reading till the day of the exam. Good luck to you!!

BSS questions are not in the usmle pattern.but the explainations are really good.so just use them as a study tool rather than assessment.your NBME score shows that you are well prepared now for the exam.
you will definetly get a very good score.

Thanks kiran and niti. During the past 2 evenings I was reading biochemistry notes. Still have 70 pages left. I looked at calendar, I think I would only be able to finish this round of reading before exam. Just no time for other stuff. I am listening to Goljan audio on my way to and from work. Also browse through Tommy HY notes when I get a chance at work. That's about it.

Last night read the rest micro section of FA. Did USMLE CD again, got 46,40,43. Hopefully today can read most micro notes if not all.
