Finally finished biochemistry notes last night. Very slow indeed. :| Tonight will finish biochemistry part of FA then start pathology notes.

Over the weekend all I did was read biochemistry part of FA and finished half of the pathology notes. I wasted a lot time mind wandering. :shock: When I concentrate I can read very fast, but just couldn't keep concentrated. :oops: I thought I would finish patho by last night anyway, but seems it's not the case. Oh well will work on patho today and see how it goes.

Read 50 pages of pathology notes last night. Have around 100 pages left. Then FA patho section, then NBME form 2.

Finally finished patho notes last night. Tonight will read patho section of FA and then review some slides. Hopefully tomorrow morning can take NBME form 2...

Finally finished 3rd read and did NBME form 2. Got 630!!! Very happy.  Glad didn't take the exam in December when I only scored 480 in form 1. I still feel there are a lot for me to review though... I am still waiting for my registration to be processed. Hopefully can make it to March period.

Did 50 rapid review Qs last night, only got 64%. Got tired from work so didn't study. It's time to figure out what to do next. Want to read kaplan notes, FA, listen to Goljan and do Qs. Not much time for this. There are points I don't remember or understand well, maybe should work on that first.

Only read perhaps 10 pages of FA last night. Always have a very slow start, especially on week days. Anyway I am planning to read FA from now on and try memorize things in it. Since everybody said how important FA is. I want to get the key things down first... Ok let's see.

Just got email from ECFMG that my registration was processed (March to May period). Scheduling permit will be sent to me soon. Geez now I feel pressure again. :shock: Must read fast...

Although started 4th read this week, during the past 4 nights all I did was finishing anatomy part of FA. :? Wanted to take exam on March 5 but at this speed there is no way I can finish 4th round before that date. Will see how much I can achieve over this weekend. Happy study everyone.

Hi Niti,
Just realized didn't get back to you. Sorry about that. Anyway I am only using the rapid review question book, a book of 350 Qs and a CD of 1000 Qs. Still working on that. The CD is dumb in a way that it doesn't know what Qs has been done. So unless I do 1000 in a row, it's always possible you see Qs you've done before show up again.
I have all kinds of books, Qbooks. I always follow the trend although never read them. I looks like at the end I am only doing kaplan notes, FA and goljan.
Still reading anatomy notes, just spent an hour in the gym. I am getting so out of shape from studying... Good tomorrow is a holiday so I have an extra full day to study.

hey,
I know about the getting out of shape thing too. I've stopped working out and consequently eating more and worse since I've gotten heavier into my studies ...stress eating :x .....
anyways, I feel like I'll have time to lose the usmle weight once I take the test and await the results....
work hard.

I hope you enjoyed the past long weekend. I read most of anatomy notes over the weekend, but still have around 60 pages left. :roll: I can never study as I planned, always got distracted... This is only the first subject for the 4th round, 6 more subjects to go.

Received scheduling permit today. Just made reservation online, the earliest date I can get is March 14 although I wanted it to be Mar 13 so that it's a Sunday. Oh well will need to take day off on 3/14. I have scheduled and changed test dates so many times in the past, now I just hope I can truly take it on this date I picked. Just so that you know the 2005 USMLE CD has the same 150 questions as 2004.

Hi Wombat,
I came back to the forum like 1 week ago and I find out that you are all set for your exam, with permit and everything :shock: I am sure you are ready for this :wink: but the last weeks are when you should engine yourself and solve as many qs as you can, well that's what people who passed this exam always say 
I wish you all kind of luck for the big day, keep healthy and pray to God to give you the calm and wise you need, we all are a family in this diaryland and we do care about each other... So my friend, study hard and Go for it!

Thanks Roxanita. My exam will be on 3/14.
Last night was so bad, I felt so tired that just fell asleep.  The only bright side is that I was able to make it to the early morning lecture at work. So I lost one night in terms of study. :?
